    Recorded live in the studio at Chells Bells Cuntry studio retreat. ∑GG√E|N’s ∑√|££ LP is ∑GG√E|N’s first full-length studio release. Containing an index of their subtropical goth songbook. Shanties of Oiban dysfunction, Suss Cunts sit next to ditties of Suboiban oinwee, Drinkin’ Stinkin’ Pinkin’ Bar. Slabs of electric distress, Destroy Your Self are juxtaposed by metallic dirges of introspection, Short Back and Sides. Psychedelic doom grind body snatches artist Heath Franco in Living inside an Atom, whilst Marshalls Portable Music machine tells an all too familiar tale of inter-familiar polyamory “my mummy fucks your daddy, your daddy fuck my mummy....”. Finally the nature of contemporary existence is mapped in, W.O.T.W (way of the world), “they fuck with us.... We fuck with them”. But remember as uncle Leonard Cohen said “There are never any dirty words, not ever.”

There will always be rainbows..
Once I had a dream:
In sunshine through the rain a young boy is told not to venture into the forest. The sun is shining but it is raining., the boy’s maternal guardian tells him. Standing on the threshold of his house, the boy is caught between the in- side and the outside, the sun and the rain, wanting to obey and disobey. Dutifully he turns to go inside but then he stops. Slowly he turns around and stares out at the forest. Viewers share the same mixed emotions: should I stay
or should I go? Should I be sensible or should I satiate my curiosity? Should I return to what is safe and comfortable or strike out and seek the unknown? Menacing but magical and a little forbidden- I guess that’s what I feel: Should I be keeping this as my secret? And
to think back to the most exciting points in my life, when I had those feelings as well- being shit-scared but excited. When I was about eight we found a porno mag in a pad- dock in the country town where I used to somewhat live, and we’d gather around and there’d be this unbelievable excitement, and just seeing these things and thinking “Oh WOW!, that’s what adults keep away from us”. Those mo- ments I think about when I work.
In the middle section the young boy treads warily through the forest, dwarfed by its giant canopy of trees and drawn by its misty sun-dappled light. Through the mist a proces- sion emerges, and from behind a brigalow tree the boy watches on. Slowly the figures walk past, human in scale, draped and behatted in traditional wedding costumes.. There is a sweet suspension of disbelief and then the foxes spring around. The boy realises he has been seen and runs away. In my mind there are a procession of characters, often half-animal, dingo-horse, emu-belah.. They are no better or worse than you and I.
Not all the characters are good, and not all of them are interesting, and most of them aren’t deep at all. What they’re doing – that’s it. There is really nothing more to them. Some have said that life is a living painting. I still think that that is possibly true. I’m not really religious at all, but to think that there’s something magical underlying everything- the bigin the small – it is a pleasing feeling and it puts you more at ease with life, about how fucked up it is. Yeah, I’d like to think that there could be things like that- that there could be potentially a universe inside an atom. Mind, prepared to be blown... Hey! I’m living inside an atom! I’m living inside an ATOM!
